If the gin and tequila wave has run its course for you, then fret not. India’s alco-bev scene is shaking things up once again. From limited-edition single malts to pink vodka and the country’s first homegrown vermouth, a fresh crop of spirits is here to raise the bar. Whether you’re looking to experiment or upgrade your bar cabinet, these new launches deserve a spot on your radar.
1. ÄMĀRĀ Pink Vodka
From the makers of SAṂSĀRA gin comes ÄMĀRĀ, an artisanal pink vodka that’s as striking as it is smooth. Infused with strawberries, passion fruit, peaches, citrus, and delicate floral botanicals, this vibrant, fruit-forward spirit is crafted from a blend of five-times-distilled Bengaluru blue grapes and rice grains sourced from India’s Deccan Plateau, and then ruby-filtered for an ultra-luxe finish. Silky-smooth on the palate and bursting with bright, juicy notes, ÄMĀRĀ is housed in a stunning crystal decanter that’s as elegant as the vodka within.

2. Monarch Legacy Edition
As someone who loves a good hot toddy, I’m fascinated by India’s new luxe homegrown brandy. Even better, it’s a spirit you’ll want to sip neat. Meet Monarch Legacy Edition, a tribute to Tilaknagar Industries’ 90-year legacy. Over the past four decades, TI has helped shape the Indian brandy landscape with icons like Mansion House Brandy. Monarch blends aged French grape spirits—matured up to eight years in oak—with Indian grape spirits from Maharashtra’s Sahyadri region, both distilled in coal-fired copper pot stills. The result? Cognac-level finesse with a distinctly Indian soul. On the nose, you’ll find rich grape and fruit aromas layered with hints of apple, nutmeg, and a whisper of tobacco. The palate is gently sweet, unfolding creamy oak and indulgent dried fruits, while the finish lingers with warm notes of cinnamon, peach, and clove—a perfect balance of elegance and depth.
Availability & Price: Available in Maharashtra (₹6,750), Goa (₹4,000) and Pondicherry (₹3,500)
3. Davana Vermouth Indica
Did you know classics like Manhattan, negroni, and even margarita often owe their depth to one key ingredient—vermouth? Until now, Indian bartenders have had to rely on imported versions. But that’s changed, thanks to Davana Vermouth Indica, India’s first homegrown vermouth. Davana is inspired by the Hindi word for Indian wormwood, one of vermouth’s core botanicals, while Indica is a nod to its Indian roots.
Crafted in Goa using wine from Nashik and infused with native botanicals, Davana is the result of founder Adarsh Gadvi’s two-year journey to get it just right. The result? Two distinct, vibrant expressions. Davana Rosso (rich red berries, cherry, blackcurrant, bittersweet balance, herbal-spiced finish) and Davana Bianco (floral, fruity, gently spiced—hello, chamomile, vanilla, citrus). With India’s new vermouth, it’s time to up your cocktail game.

5. Amrut The Expedition
India’s oldest (and most expensive) single malt is here. Meet Amrut The Expedition, an exceptional whisky that has been matured for 15 years—eight in European sherry casks followed by seven in American ex-bourbon barrels—resulting in a complex and refined spirit. On the nose, expect sherried truffle, cane molasses, fruity sherbet, and warm sandalwood, with hints of oak and vanilla. The palate opens with silky sherry chocolate, a sharp crackle of black pepper, and a mellowing wave of bitter cocoa, dried fruits, and marmalade. It’s soft, velvety, and endlessly layered. The finish? Lingering and salivating, marked by a bold, classic cocoa bitterness.
With just 75 bottles produced globally to mark the brand’s 75th anniversary, only nine have been allocated to travel retail in India, available until the end of April 2025. Each bottle features a distinctive diamond-cut design, adorned with intricate gold engravings, and an NFC tag and authentication card, offering a digital gateway into the story behind The Expedition. But that’s not all. Adding to its exclusivity, a silver peg measure, handcrafted by a skilled Bengaluru-based silversmith, accompanies every bottle, making it every collector’s dream.

6. Quro
Another sipping spirit, Quro is a liqueur made with 36 ingredients: juicy orange, grapefruit and amla, floral hints of hibiscus and moringa, and a punch of spice from cinnamon, ashwagandha, talispatra and more. Double pot-distilled and macerated, it delivers bright citrus, soft florals, and a gently bitter finish—intriguing enough for connoisseurs yet easygoing for casual drinkers. At 30% ABV, Quro brings more buzz than your average liqueur. Enjoy it neat, as a shot, in a spritzer, or in the form of a cocktail. And the bottle? A sleek, clear tribute to Indian design, with the name subtly etched in multiple Indian scripts as a nod to the country’s linguistic and regional diversity.
