If Paris taught Emily Cooper how to romanticise a pain au chocolat, Mumbai would teach her how to romanticise chaos, stylishly, earnestly, and with a perfectly framed Instagram Story. We imagined a crossover series of Emily in Paris, where Emily lands in the city for an assignment and promptly realises that Mumbai does not bend for anyone. Not for heels, not for hashtags, and certainly not for someone who thinks traffic is a phase. The hustle culture of Mumbai is perfect for Emily, who finds herself a misfit in Paris.

For its beautiful old-world aesthetic and racecourse nostalgia. Emily would describe it as timeless, romantic, and wildly underrated — five minutes after arriving. Maybe a date with Marcello would also be on the cards?

For clothes that understand Mumbai weather and still feel like Emily. Easy silhouettes and playful prints that move as fast as the city.

Emily attempts to take the local train.

She fails. Spectacularly. Unapologetically. 

Mumbai would overwhelm Emily, charm her, frustrate her, and ultimately change her. She wouldn’t master the city. She wouldn’t pretend to. But she would leave with better instincts, stronger friendships, and the understanding that some places have a living soul of their own.
