That Rosalía is a die-hard foodie and a person who really enjoys eating things is a fact. The singer is passionate about cooking, and not only does she love to visit all kinds of restaurants, from the most sophisticated to traditional neighbourhood restaurants and the most reputable in the world, such as Dabiz Muñoz's 3 Michelin-starred DiverXO. We've also seen her enjoy the cuisine of Paris, Rome, Milan, Los Angeles, and even Athens. The Catalan one has proven to be, without a doubt, the best foodie guide in the world that you can have.
Rosalía also loves to put on her apron, get her hands dirty and cook, and apparently she's quite good at it. Also, like everyone else, she loves going out for coffee - we just saw her trying speciality coffee in a coffee shop in Madrid that had been waiting for her for a year, and today she surprised us by buying bread in a famous workshop in one of the most popular neighbourhoods in Madrid.
Rosalía's Favourite Bakery In Madrid
The singer went to Obrador San Francisco, located in La Latina, to buy bread, as shown on the social networks of this bakery. “You're not going to believe who came for bread,” they commented on the workshop's IG account along with a photo in which Rosalía, like any other customer, had come to get her bread.
We know from Obrador San Francisco that Rosalía had gone to get bread. What we don't know is what type of bread he bought, although we can sense it because this workshop is very famous for its Pan Quemao. It is a bun type of bread, very fluffy and with a sweet touch, with a dark and toasted crust. It is typical of the Valencia Community, and they have popularised it in Madrid. The good thing is that it can be eaten alone, with sweet or with salty.
They also make, depending on the season and the time, other highly sought after breads such as olives, wheat and corn, Hogaza de Santo (fig, sesame and anise); walnuts and raisins, Picajo (garlic and habanero pepper), onion and bay leaves, and even miso, among others.
Obrador San Francisco, which is recognised as the 2019 Golden Miga -prestigious artisanal bakery award that recognises the quality and work of artisan bakers from regions of Spain such as Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha or Madrid, is also well known in Madrid for its panettone. They are usually made of two types: a traditional one with raisins and orange, and the other with chocolate.
